DAY 1
Well, our day of travel went well. We left promptly at 8:00 after a great send off. The bus ride was a blast and we played several games! The trivia game with interesting facts about the students went really well. We all learned a lot about each other...including that Reina likes to wash spaghetti so it is clean for her dad and the fact that Isaac is the only Jenkin that was born in an odd year! We also played an exciting game of "Name that Tune" and had the great experience of having Kristin throw candy to the winners of the games...if you get a chance, ask Austin Sherwood how many times he got smacked in the head. We watched two movies, at lunch and dinner, then finally arrived to our hotel around 10:00. Jason is an amazing bus driver and did great navigating through the crowded streets of DC.

It gives us joy and comfort knowing that this was His divine plan for you this week. We pray that you will sense how high, deep, wide and great is the love of the Lord for YOU, but also for everyone you're with, and all those you come into contact with.
